Netball South West was well represented during the 4 day 2018 NPL Tournament that took place at the University of Nottingham. Manchester Thunder (U17 and U21) and London Pulse (U19) were crowned champions at the tournament, however the success of our Team Bath and Severn Stars franchises had not gone unnoticed. The strength of both teams has shown they are big contenders for next years tournament.
The Netball South West Regional Management Board would like to thank all of Team White that attended from the SW for all their time and efforts in umpiring a number of games:
Michelle Easterbrook (U17’s 7/8th playoff)
Nicky Shard-Palmer (U17’s 7/8th playoff)
Debbie Ashworth (U17’s Semifinal)
Claire Daly (U19 7/8th Playoff)
Jenny Henwood (U17’s 5/6th playoff)
Adele Venner (U17’s 3/4th playoff)
Louise Cole (U17’s Final)
Rhian Edwards (U21’s Final)
A massive well to done to Louise and Rhian who were selected to umpire two finals in the tournament.
A special thank you to Judith Groves who was one of the EN Assessor’s, Les Thomas and Linda Mancini as Technical Officials throughout the tournament.
