Each week we bring you a good news story from across the South West as part of our wedNEWSday articles.
On Saturday 26th January, 42 school teams across three age groups (U14, U16, U19) who had qualified from their respective counties, took part in the regional round of the National School competition held at the Sir David English Sports Centre, Bournemouth.
Top two teams from each age group go through to nationals in Welwyn Garden City on the 16th March 2019, all the results are:

Well done to all schools that attended and good luck to the winners and runners up who will be attending the Nationals.
Thank you to the 26 umpires who officiated the games and were supported by a team of mentors. ‘Umpire of the Tournament’ was awarded to Dan Racey, and Katy Joy was awarded ‘Most Promising Umpire’. Their awards were presented by Super League umpire James Thomas.
A big thanks also to all the Netball South West Schools organisers, Pam Telford, Pat Salter, Danny Neill, Les Thomas and Steve Richmond. They were assisted on the day by a team of Young Leaders from Blandford Forum School who acted as timekeepers and court runners, plus a team of court managers and score recorders.
